Imtra
is a familiar name to lots of boat owners that make and sell
tremendous good quality products including side-power bow thrusters
and Glomex antennas but they also produce some excellent LED lights.
The
Imtra LED lights are more or less like a digital camera to get the
high-resolution images. You can have the latest and greatest
features, which you cannot find in any other brand. The Imtra
lights
are mounted to a board in the workshop which can be kept as near as
one could replicate to the interior headliner on a boat so that some
test can be conducted by own using the radio interference, heat,
power consumption and light output.
The
lights can be connected to as per the installation instructions given
by the manufacturers. These instructions are easy to follow which can
be expected from a good quality light. As with many of the Imtra
lights, the Ventura is fully dimmable so that it can be connected in
the PWM dimmer and a momentary switch. The dimmer is optional in
which case the two of the wires coming from the light fixture are not
required but honestly, the dimmer is so powerful that many people are
today opting for this source in the place of 15 lights.
Additionally,
using a momentary switch with the PWM dimmer does away with the need
for a rheostat style dimmer, pushing the switch once to turn the
light on and push again to turn off. Holding the switch down either
dims the light or turns it up, the dimmer also remembers the last
setting so if the light is turned off at 50% power it will come back
on at the same setting the next time.
Imtra lights have proven (best practices) LED electrical design; efficient optical
design, thermal management, and high quality marine electrical and
electronic components. Thus, this is really a cool option for marine
lighting.
