Consider These Before You Make a Choice Of Right Fuel Pumps

Are you an auto-mobile lover? Then, you must be well versed with all its essential parts. Among all the essential parts is the fuel pump installed for fuel delivery. The major job or you can say the function of the fuel pump is to draw the fuel from the storage tank and force it to the engine.

Although, all vehicles do not have this, but being an essential component the mechanics call it the “heart of the vehicle”.

The heart of the vehicle comes up in 3 ranges: mechanical, electric and turbo. But it is important to understand which is right for the application and that reduces the cost and even increase the life of the pump.

So, take a look and select a suitable one for your vehicle:

Mechanical Fuel Pump

It is the one that is most often used with engines having carburetor. Before the fuels pumps, the fuel was fed directly into the carburetor. But the new cars which are now coming up with new innovations fail to comply with it and therefore they are being replaced by the improved fuel pumps.

Electric Fuel Pump
It is taking up the place of mechanical pimps and is located directly inside the fuel tank. When compared with the mechanical pump, the electric fuel pump pass the fuel at much high pressure. Due to this feature, it is a desired choice for the new vehicles.

Turbo Pump
Turbo pumps are large in size and used in the heavy vehicles. Due to their size, they are not compatible with the small engines and are more suitable for trucks only.
